I sort of stumbled into this but I have to say that I love your style. I also enjoy the inner workings of character's brains and I think you nailed Derek's. Also the take that it isn't an addiction is something I am glad you addressed...it something so much more intricate than some addiction (which isn't to say those aren't serious, because they are). Ridiculous. Steering away form venting, thanks for the read!

I was infuriated when I read the writer's blog. Comparing an all consuming love that has taken 3 seasons to build (and destroy) to an illegal narcotic that kills people? It was disgusting. Derek isn't addicted to Meredith, he loves her. He wants to be with her. I actually posted the paragraph about addiction vs. love on the writer's blog.
