Timeline: This chapter takes place roughly just after the episode with the not-a-spinoff. I have a mental block against the name and number. Later chapters continue to end of Season 3 and beyond. Then A/U (or I'll be really freaked out next fall)

I believe I have the cut issue fixed. I have viewed in friends page as well as the ga_fanfic page, and it works for me in both. If you still aren't seeing the cut, you may need to do a hard refresh (control + F5 in IE). If that doesn't work, please leave me a message. The bad news is that I have to leave in 10 minutes to run carpool from camp, so if I don't hear from you soon about it, it will be after 1pm EST before I can get it. (If I hear from you in the interim, I will take it down, because I know how annoying the cut thing is. My sincere apologies. That problem wasn't LJ's, it was mine, for not realizing I couldn't use quotes in the cut title.)

Another great Derek-centric chapter! The font size threw me for a loop (or two) but I managed to make it smaller with a few key strokes so it wasn't too bad lol I especially liked the flashback and the deja vu thing, very well written :)

Oh, I do love him. I pink puffy heart Derek. I think he made some bad choices--and I'm trying to give him the motivations for those choices. But never fear, I love Derek. (I am a member of both the Defender of Meredith and Defender of Derek clubs. Anyone who claims that one or the other is absolutely in the right will get a debate from me.) He had stood her up the night before, and this is the day he talks to Burke a couple of times about it being hard. And I tried to show that he is trying, he is struggling. But he feels shut out. I didn't directly address the standing up, because I couldn't figure it out. Still can't.
