I’ve written about 4 different scenes for this chapter, and I couldn’t make up my mind what to use.  So, I’ve decided to do this instead --- I’m making this into one of those ‘choose what happens next’ stories.  
If you want Mer to end up with Alex (Mex/Meralex/Merlex), read only the ODD-numbered chapters.  If you want Merder, read the EVEN-numbered chapters. LOL.  Just kidding.
