Right, I saw the George/Addison.. and was immediately weirded out, but I took a chance and OMFG!!!!!!! That was amazingly awesome and so much more than I thought it would be ever be. The minute you write another one, you HAVE to post it.. BRILLIANT!!!!
Wow, I don't know if I'll come up with anymore of these - the George/Addison came on a whim and I typed it up last night. I suppose I'll have to wait for the inspiration. But, thank you! I love reviews and yours gave me the fuzzies.
This is my guilty pleasure pairing (although there's so little of it out there that it hard to feed), but this is great! At first I didn't like how bitter Addison was, but then I realized it's completely and totally in character. And so is George's insecurity.
“I think…I’ll have a lot of explaining to do,” George said slowly. Hehe. Oh yes he would, but I'd pay big bucks to be a fly on the wall when he told Meredith and Izzie that he was moving in with Addison.
“Just this once, right?”
“Of course, yeah,” Addison said back. “What did you expect?” I love how the flashbacks work. You created a great effect.
I was aiming more for resigned/angry Addison in the beginning, but I'm glad that you found that she fell into character. As for the ending, I'm completely into symmetry, so you can see that the first and last lines of the story pair up.
Guh, you win at life. And the internets. And everything.
Addison was spot on, George was oh so adorably George, the flashbacks were lovely and incredibly IC, and everything just worked, especially for such an unconventional pairing.
You! *hugs you like George hugs Bailey and that's a hell of a hug* Thank you SO much for the recommendation. It just...gah, it feels good. It, gah, wow, can't speak. You rock.
What great writing! The pairing was strange, at first, but you really made it work. I loved how you did the flashbacks interspersed with the "real time" of what was happening between them.
The word 'recommendation makes me dance. :D Hey, I liked the flashbacks, too! I thought of writing in a real time but decided that I shouldn't keep the first night a mystery - I love that you loved it. Thanks!
Wow... I mean... wow. Strangely, I loved it. I would never go for fics like this but with all the great reviews you got ^^ I just had to take the chance and read it. And I'm glad I did. It's different...a good different, of course. And I loved the flashbacks. Great work. :D
I believe this is actually my 5th fandom to attack (the others are Harry Potter, Veronica Mars, Smallville and Everwood), but I will definitely add to my GA collection if I have the chance.
