I've been home for 5 days now, and it's been really nice. I only have two friends here that I'm still in touch with, so most of my time has been spent at the house or out with my mom, which is great by me. My dogs are both old and deaf now, but still tons of fun. They bark a lot differently now that they can't hear anything. My sister's boyfriend is a huge loser; I spent the night there the other night and couldn't get to sleep so I got to hear them yell at each other about stuff that really really really sucks. Hopefully she gets out of there soon. I got drunk with my dad tonight and dorked out on music; tommorrow we're going to the Congaree Nation Park, which is a swamp. Yep, in South Carolina our big national park is a swamp. And it's gorgeous. I got some mushrooms from my sister and I think I'll take a little bit before going out.
My band recently recorded four songs at Stephen's studio and they're awesome. We had an absolute blast and I think it sounds better than our previous record that we did in Fort Collis, which makes up for the fact that the two shows we played on our way there were busts. More than makes up for it, even.

In other kinda silly news, my sister is currently on the outs with the friend of hers that I occasionally make out with when I come home. It's been at least three years since that happened, but I always hope it will happen when I come home. Bummer. She's not to bright but she's cute and she seems to dig me. And now I don't get to make out with her - again. Whatever the opposite of shallow is, that's what I'm not.
