BLOODY HELL, UPS! Yes, the idiots tried to deliver it last night at 6:38pm, but I'm guessing they didn't even go up the stairs to the actual apartment, and instead tried the closed rental office. *sigh* SO, today, they come back and guess what, deliver it at 2:30something, to the RENTAL OFFICE. And of course, don't bother going up the stairs to the apartment where coyote13 was to really, y'know, deliver it. So once again, no Lush box, no cleanser, and hopefully the stuff in there isn't melted all over the inside of the box... Hate UPS. Hate hate hate!!
Latest LJ stuff -- it's getting a little wacky again, folks...
This one worries me lots -- an artist got a strike against her for an item in a locked post, in a locked comm. She had already edited this post to comply with what we were told were the rules, and someone within the comm reported the post. Supposedly the post was reported to them before she edited to comply, and they just sat around for a week trying to decide the age. The fact that it was reported by someone IN the comm is even more disturbing than the rest of it, in my opinion...
Yes, it's gone, but it's not gone... -- An artist gets a ding for a post that she had removed a week before. WHAT?!
Maybe LJ needs a fannish dictionary... -- She's got a point. They may not get the fact that what we call "porn", "pr0n", "prawn", etc. is not what they call "porn". But you'd think after hundreds of people explain it to them, they might be able to buy a clue...

Randomly, since they seem to think that fanart = child porn, does anyone have a link to a picture of two men having sex with the following characteristics:
*neither overly muscular; average build; fit
*one around 30, preferably bottoming
*the other mid-30's, preferably topping
*light body hair okay, please no hairy guys
I have a very strong urge to do a manip/paintover of Thompson/Bennet (past, obviously -- if it were current up the ages by 15 years!) and post it with the title "fanart = child porn?"
AND, just to make life complicated, GJ has decided that to keep the servers running at a decent speed, they need to limit everyone to only 100 icons. I suspect the sudden influx of LJ users is partially to blame for this. However, they've had icon issues for a LONG time now. This is a HUGE thing, though, because the huge number of icons was one of the selling points for GJ...
Here is the news announcement about it, and here is a poll they have put up to ask what features we'd rather have removed. I'm all for GJPix going FAR, far away, since we can't use it for image hosting, and it's about the most useless piece of garbage out there...
See, now is when I need to be able to use that icon I can't use yet. Because it really does fit. Argh.
