Argh computers
So. Today, I worked for 8 hours and got a bunch of applicants processed; gave one back to the intake officer because their degree wasn't accredited (well, the program was, nine years after the person got the degree...).
And then I wrote another heap of words on a Heroes fic I'm doing for a 7/31 deadline. And saved the file. It saved fine.
Except that when I opened the file again, it was in Vorlonese.
When I checked the file on the handheld, still Vorlonese.
Luckily, the file is also saved at work, but the stuff I did on it on the way home is lost. *sigh* I hate having to reconstruct stuff that was hard to write the first damned time!
On top of that, my laptop is not working right -- Photoshop is freaking out when I try to save files, half of the time not letting me save them as .psd files. Although that may also be something related to the PC card that the fic file was on, so maybe it's just the PC card instead...
I'm hoping it's not broken, because I can't afford to buy another PC card right now...
But then again, I'd rather not have the brand new laptop which I just paid off last month be broken, either...
*sigh*
