Rodney's always loved school, it's just the other people he has to attend with that annoy him. It's bad enough when they find out his real name and none of them are civilised enough to realize it is a boy's name, but then there's the teasing about his piano lessons, too.
He doesn't care, though -- he wouldn't miss it for the world. Miss Pevensie is different, in the very best of ways. How many piano teachers -- especially not older women -- could you have serious discussions with about alternate universes and the relative passage of time between those universes and your own? And while he's been reading up on all of this in every book he can get his hands on, she seems to talk about it like it's utter truth instead of theory. As if she knowsShe always seems a little sad after their talks, too, and sometimes he feels really bad about making her feel that way, but he can't help himself. He's just so curious, and she's always willing to let him bounce ideas off her -- and sometimes, just sometimes, he thinks that she ( ... )
