Ok. This is called the "Weirdest/Scariest/Freakiest Reviews EVAR meme."
Here's how it works:
Post your most unusual review/feedback in your journal for the world to ponder. Then tag five people to do the same in an attempt to beat you.
Not trying for the competition, because honestly, how do you beat the "Sick Fruitcake" one? I'm also not going to actually tag people, mainly because I can't think straight at the moment. But, here are the two wackiest feedbacks I've ever gotten. I also included my response to the second one, because... well, you'll see.
By the way, both of these are on my Farscape epic The Red and the Black, which isn't currently up on either my new site or on LJ. I need to fix that soon...
Mild one:
Name: Anni
Comments: I thought it was a good fic...plot was frelled and characters were kinda
off, but I still thought it was okay...
I asked her which one she was talking about, considering the long one is following the plot of the series. No idea what she meant...
Or, then there's this one, which I think takes the cake:
Name: SilverSurfer
Comments: Frankly, Red and the Black is the worst fanfic I ever read, and I'm real
sorry it was ever published.
It's cruel, brutal, completely unbelievable and out of character FOR EVERY CHARACTER IN IT.
I'm not against smut OR slash, hell, I'm bi myself.
But that story is just gross.
Jeez, you guys think it was good?
Sick sick puppies.
It's rape fic, plain and simple.
*shakes head*
To which I answered:
Hey, SilverSurfer (too bad you're too chicken to post an e-mail address), how many parts of my story did you *read* before you decided you didn't like it? Do you keep coming back to check the next part to see if it's changed?
You have every right under the Constitution to post your opinion of my story, but I also have every right to point out that not only did the main page have the following warning: "The story is rated NC-17 and is NOT intended for anyone under the age of 18. If you are offended by graphic depictions of m/m sex including torture, rape, and coercion then do not read this story! If you read it anyway even after reading this warning, don't come crying to me if you have nightmares of Scorpius!" but also EACH section has its own individual warning.
It's your own fault if you read something that offends you AFTER you've been warned what's in it. I didn't post this story under any kind of false pretenses.
And by the way, if you have an issue with the story, fine. Don't attack the other readers because they DIDN'T have an issue.
And to the rest of you, I really do intend to post more, hopefully soon! Thanks for your patience!
