I realize that some of you are growing tired of election chatter one way or the other....
But this is who I am, when I see something going wrong in Politics, I feel like I need to stand up and say something, and here is my forum.

Conservatives say Jack says: "I support legalized drugs". What Jack really says is: We need to give support to the police and to communities to crack down on illegal drugs like crystal meth that are destroying lives and creating the conditions for the growth of crime in our communities.
Conservatives say Jack says: "Who needs tax cuts?" What Jack really says is: Not the profit-making corporations Mr. Harper and the Conservatives wanted to reward with a $4.6 billion tax cut last year. Jack Layton and the NDP think Canadians deserve the personal tax cuts Mr. Harper intends to scrap.
Conservatives say Jack says: "I want higher gas prices." What Jack really says is: The NDP is proposing legislation that would create an independent watchdog to make sure big oil and gas companies don't gouge consumers at the pump.
Conservatives say Jack says: "Please tax my estate." What Jack really says is: The NDP is not proposing any new personal income taxes, and no new taxes on inheritances or estates.

"In a recent interview with Radio Canada, he suggested that he would revisit Ottawa's decision not to participate in the Bush administration's missile-defense system. The Conservative platform calls for increases in foreign aid to bolster Canada's role in the world, as well as an additional $5 billion in military spending to recruit and outfit an additional 13,000 troops and 10,000 reservists."
"Mr. Harper…once led a conservative research organization and referred to Canada 10 years ago as 'a northern European welfare state in the worst sense of the term.'"

The Conservative Party announced that it would use $2 billion “from the climate change fund to pay for transit pass tax credit.”

However, the real question is: how could the Conservatives pay for a $2 billion transit program with a $1 billion Climate Fund?
