the June report

Jun 20, 2006 16:27

...I don't want to talk about the Oilers...All I'll say is that they played hard, I cheered hard, and because of their efforts about a dozen new, australian hockey fans were made.

So as you may or may not now, my dear friend Alex Keller (pictured below) is making that strenuous trek across that mighty pacific for a lil' holiday here in the great land of OZ. From here we will head to Thailand for 2 weeks, then the Philippines for a week, and back home.

As I am nearing the end of my stay here in Australia, sad moments have begun arising. i.e. other internationals and Australians are leaving who, odds are good, I will never see again. Last week was Rob, the marine from Maryland, this week is Corin, Sam, Sarah, and Cate. And we dont' even WANT to mention next week! Bottom line, is I'm glad I've got a good buddy coming to help offset all those going...and besides, did I freakin' mention we're going to THAILAND AND THE PHILIPPINES!! giiiddy up.

Despite the excitement I have settled into a rut of laziness, over consumption of food and beverage and lack of exercise. Bottom line, I'm a useless sack of shit and the moment. That's not a depressing confession, that's a statement of fact. I mean some sacks are pretty useful, they carry stuff...I'm not useful...All I could do is carry shit...

So to you my enthusiastic live journal followers I proclaim...no more being a tool, no more will I waste away in my own pool of bodily worthlessness...I will make something of myself...well...starting tomorrow. yeah...I'm sorta tired.

This may be one of my last updates before I head out to asia, so to those who have read over the past few months, thanks very much, it made the writing of this livejournal worth the time.

Keep it real,

Graeme
