5 Weeks Later
...It really doesn't seem like time has passed that quickly, yet, apparently, it has.
Today, I had bad luck.
I was ridding my bike to work, and ended up spliting my pants from fly to mid thigh, thusly eliminating any corvering of my crotchle region. While at work, I continued to spill things and ruin it with general clumsyness. On the way home, a black bmer was traveling and was supposed to stop at a stop sign, while I had right of way to go straight on grove ave. The car failed to stop, and I kept going, swerving to avoid being hit and only tapping the bumper with me shoe. It was a terrifying occurance.
The conclusion of the day? I attract bad things... And the drivers of BMWs, while kind (sometimes) truely don't care about looking out for human life. (Sorry Lawson!) Almost every run in (I would have to say 6.5 out of 10) has been a bmw. Mercedes are up there too, perhaps 2 or every 10, and the other makes don't even get a full digit out of 10. Hrmmm... Money makes people drive worse? I'm just saying... just saying. But biking, one truly sees the dark side of drivers. (I find silver cars tend to like to swoop towards me and pass very close, after passing, they will drift back to driving in the center of the lane.)
And apparenlty, a dude got trampled to death in walmart. On black friday. By 2000 people. WTFUCKKKKK???
Oh, and I attended a beautiful service on saturday for my friend who died at the age of 19. Please please please, everyone make me a promise to not die in the next year? So I don't have to go to any more funerals and lose any more friends?
Oh, and my mom has cancer.
Despite the news, my life is actually going REALLY well. Only a month and a week till Athens!!!! XDDDD
Also, this week David and I are going to a Xmas tree farm to find and cut down our own tree!!!! I"M SO EXCITED!
I've never done this before... wish me luck!
We already have a lot of ornaments and lights... and our porch is decorated! I'm getting into the holiday spirit, and can't wait for all the holiday parties to start! My work is even throwing one... I'm so excited. I just need a dorky holiday sweater! :-D With all kinds of snowflakes and cool snowmen and stuff...
