Real men have sore thumbs

Started my new job today!

Now, I know what you're thinking, "HOLY FUCK GARRY! THREE JOBS?"

Well, in reality, I am about to finish my work as a cook at Catrina's Grill, although my cooking career will continue as the brunch cook at Steeples, I have since began to work at Giordana's family vineyard, vinegary, and winery. Now, coming into this job, I was told to prepare for long, repetitive, and often difficult (physically) tasks. I was told that my back would hurt from not sitting down. "Pah," I thought, "I'm a bloody cook, I've never done an honest days worth of work sitting down!"

It was beautiful, working outdoors is possibly one of the better parts of life, theres something about it that makes you feel like you're being paid to enjoy sunshine, of course it also comes with its negatives. The back of my neck is red. I spaced on the Sun Block on the neck! I got everywhere else! Secondly, the sun drains the water from you faster than those nachos you had at that one baseball game where they ran out of all liquids. Ever. I suggest anyone who feels they can handle difficult (and trust me it is no cake walk, try standing around for eight hours with your hands above your head) labour, I suggest you do drop your resume off. Keep in mind that at the end of your day, you'll be sore, hungry, tired, burnt, but oh damn, to have silence while working... No buzzing off bills, no shouting chefs, no nagging waitresses...
