And Damian Should Have Stayed Gone - Today's Recap, 3/10/10

Mar 10, 2010 19:38

So am I the only one who thinks it would have been better if Damian hadn't come back so quickly? I mean, the writers probably only did it so they could bring Nu!Faith onto the scene, and have some more drama for Lily/Holden/Molly, but really...I think it would have been more emotionally satisfying if Lily and Luke had been left to think that Damian was either dead or just out there somewhere. The scenes with the gun and Lily and Molly and everything today were just....ngh.

One thing I'm happy about is that Luke didn't chew Damian out like he's done before. I really liked how they started to build a real relationship and I love how cool-headed Luke was with Damian today. I mean, yeah...Luke denounced Damian's name (and his DNA, lol), but at least it wasn't a screaming match. I didn't want to see their relationship completely destroyed, but I guess today was the next best thing. It was more hurt, less anger. Both of which soon will fade away. (Not that that will help Damian's chances.)

I gotta say, though, that it is HIGHLY unlikely that in real life, a cop would just stand around and let his HAND-CUFFED suspect - Holden - have a fifteen-minute conversation (and makeout session) when he's supposed to be back in jail. That's what the holding cell is for, yes?

Though I really liked that Holden reaffirmed his feelings for Molly. I'm loving the two of them together right now. I hope they last for a while longer, especially since I think Lily needs to be without a man for a good long while. Every time she's got a man, she gets into deep sludge.

And that fight scene with Lily and Molly? Absolutely lolarious. Why the show keeps trying to do scenes like that, I will never know. It was very funny to me.

And Luke! God, how hott did he look today. *fans self* AND, I told ya! He saw through Faith's shit like it was practically transparent. I love how she tried to dig at him about his drinking, and he was like, "Pshh, I know what I'm talking about, bitch!" And just how many freaking bottles of pills does Faith have? Did Luke give the bottle back to her or does she just have a stash? Oy. I think pill-popping is hereditary in this family. It's in the Snyder women's genetics or something.

Luke was really sweet to Faith before he found out about the pills, though. Love how he put his hand on her hair and tried to comfort her, and how he checked her temperature and asked if Damian had hurt her. And did you see his woobie faces when she was telling him about Damian? Oh, Luke. I just wanna huggle you forever. I love Luke so very much, I do indeed.

So, Meg is still nuttier than a pile of squirrel turds. She seems to think that her life has gone down the drain, when in fact, I think things are looking pretty good for her. Damian's gone, Paul and Emily are taking care of Eliza (OMG Emily is so cute with her!), and Emma's baking her cookies and reassuring her that her whole family loves her and is waiting for her to come home. This is definitely Meg's life going in the "up" direction. At least her family doesn't think she's totally bonkers anymore. That's a step, I'd say! So I guess we'll have to wait and see how Meg feels from now on. She's really gotta start trusting in herself again.

I really loved Emily today. She was so good with Eliza, and she was so understanding with Meg. And she and Paul are still totally awesome together.

Though Emma told Paul to stay away from Meg, and he did quite the opposite today. Oh, well. He's trying, and his heart is in the right place, but he should probably do what Emma says from now on. Just until Meg starts feeling better and more confident in herself.

Ten bucks says Damian comes back in a couple months. I have no idea what the writers would have him do (seriously, he could start working the drive-thru at a burger joint in Oakdale 24/7 and it would probably be more entertaining than today's storyline), but I think they might bring him back for one last yee-ha. Just a thought.

So, previews! Chris Hughes comes back into town. And I'm sorry, since I don't know him from the soap world, the only thing I can associate Daniel Cosgrove with is National Lampoon's Van Wilder. He had some pretty *ahem* interesting scenes in that movie, involving a poisoned shake, an exam room, and a trash can. LOL!

Chris Hughes also blows the whistle on Reid! *TWEET!* One of these things is not like the other. Finally Henry can breathe a sigh of relief that his beloved Katie is freed from Reid's evil (read: completely nonexistant) grasp. *headdesk*

And Luke and Reid have what looks to be another confrontation/clashing of the egos again. Luke/Reid pissing contest!

And I have to say: what's with the bumper splitting the boys up?! I mean, yeah, whatever, stupid upcoming storylines, but still! Then again...the bumper has also had Lily and Holden together when they haven't been together on the show for months. Argh. Sometimes I wish the show was tangible, just so I could kick it a little bit. >_<

Oops. No Debbie Downers here, no sirree! :-)
