Okay, so....episodes like today's are one of the reasons why I love this show so damn much.
Take, for example, how awesomesauce Badass!Holden is! Holden Snyder laughs in the face of danger HA HA HA HAAAA. Damian's got a gun pointed at him and he's threatening the life of everything in existence, and Holden's cool as a cucumber as he stares back at him, and he even has the stones to say, "If you want to take Lily out of here, you're gonna have to kill me first." And he doesn't even bat an eye when Damian demands that he move closer so that he can shoot him!
Henceforth, he shall be known as HolyShit!Holden, because, well...holy shit!!
God. Have I ever told you guys how much I love Holden? Oh, I have? Well, anyway...I FRICKING LOVE HOLDEN SNYDER!!!
And at the same time, this whole debacle really makes me laugh. It's so entertaining and so enjoyable! I think this is the first episode since Colonel Creepy's return where I was on the edge of my seat and couldn't wait to see what would happen next. In fact, I kept feeling let down every time the show cut away from the Fantastic Trio to Boring Old Liberty and Her Stupid Problems. (Okay, cancer isn't stupid, but...*grumble*) Seeing Damian flip his shit and Lily's all distraught and Holden's like, "Yeah, I do shit like this every day. So?" HEHE!
So anyway, Lily finally knows the truth. Can I get an Amen in the house? Thank all that's holy, she finally knows. Of course, she's a bit too freaked out at the moment for it all to sink in properly, but those scenes will come later, I bet. :-)
Also, if I were Holden, I think I would have peed my pants at the sight of Damian's gun. It looked like srs bsnss, for REAL. You know that part in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, where Indy's on top of the tank and fighting all the Nazis, and he grabs the gun to shoot one guy, and the bullet goes through the first guy and subsequently, ALL the guys behind him? That's what Damian's gun looked like it could do. ACK!
Of course, I have a very succinct fear/hatred of guns. I do not like them. Yet I love cop shows...figures, right?
Anyway. If you weren't planning on watching today's episode, I highly recommend that you do. You should see the Damian/Lily/Holden/sort of Meg thing and how it all goes down, because it's going to tie directly into Luke (and by extension, Noah). Plus, Badass!Holden is so badass. Seriously. Holden's the cat's pajamas. :-) And there are going to be some Damian/Luke scenes tomorrow. (Although the boys weren't on the preview. *double grumble*) I wonder what Luke's reaction is going to be? Is he going to shun Damian forever? And is he going to tell Noah what's been going on with Damian? I can't wait to find out!
So, we had a Molly and Carly scene today! It was really cute, too. Molly and Carly are like Holden and Jack - cousin-BFFs. I love it. The girls were gabbing about who's life sucked more. It ended up being a draw. And hey! I just realized...Carly-Molly cousins are wrapped up in Teh Drama with Holden-Jack cousins. LOL. Funny. Except Molly still has a shot with Holden, I feel. I dunno about Carly's chances with Jack. Not with all the Liberty junk that's going on.
And before I get to her, I'd just like to say SQUEE over the Holden-Jack scene we got! It wasn't anything special, and they didn't talk about anything in depth, but I just love seeing the two of them together on my screen. Holden told Jack about everything with Damian and Officer Grady, but there wasn't much Jack could do, since technically he's not back on the force yet, and nothing Holden gave him was concrete evidence. Though Jack did make a phone call for Holden, so we'll see how that pans out.
And now Liberty and Janet. Liberty was at least tolerable in this episode. I kinda like that she has a sense of humor about her illness, but in my opinion, she needs to mean it more. I mean, she jokes, but they're practically deadpans, so nobody else gets that she's joking, and they think she's just being sarcastic. So maybe if Liberty herself found her own jokes funny, other people would, too. Just some food for thought, Libby Lu.
But yeah. Liberty missed her deadline to send her portfolio in to FIT, so Carly offered her a job as her assistant at Monte Carlo. Of course, Janet flipped her lid when she found this out, but I think that could be a really good thing for Liberty. Molly was just saying how she and Carly decided to focus less on personal things in their lives and more on work, so maybe Liberty should do the same. I hope Janet cools off and lets Liberty do this. That way we don't have to hear her incessant whining anymore. And Carly's really trying to do a good thing. There was no ill-intent in offering Liberty the job.
Whee! Tomorrow's ep will hopefully be good! Lots of drama, drama, drama! Oh, yeah, a million bucks says Meg isn't dead. :-P
