And Jack and Carly Have Convinced Me That They Are Better Off As Friends - Today's Recap, 12/3/09
I have a beef with both Jack and Carly.
First, I have to say, I loved their scenes together today. Carly telling Jack to go back to Janet in the beginning of the episode was exactly what I wanted to hear (and exactly what Jack needs to hear, IMO). It's clear that Carly is honestly trying to keep on the path of goodness when it comes to Jack, even though her mere presence usually causes Jack and Janet some trouble. But Carly really is trying to support Jack, and I really, really like that. The Carly that Jack brings out is a sweet, kind person with a generous heart.
But throw Craig into the mix, and Carly suddenly becomes the Tasmanian Devil. Seriously. She turns on a dime. Did you see her face when he walked through her door? If looks could kill, Craig would have been buried six feet under and decaying.
And Jack. I like how he's been keeping his distance with Carly but still being completely honest with her (like his "I feel safe here" admission in her living room). But the fact that he told Carly flat-out that he wasn't going to leave town again, but he couldn't say that to Janet the day before REALLY pisses me off. Why is it that Jack can admit everything so readily to Carly but not so easily to Janet? He's putting up his own roadblocks, and it will not help him. Nor will it help him in the future.
Aside from that, all those who saw Jack moving into Carly's house, say AYE! We knew that was coming. Should be interesting, to say the least. But, from the preview for tomorrow's show, maybe it won't be all bad, since we saw Jack and Janet smooching on the bed! (YAY!) C'mon, Jack. Face your life. Liberty be DAMNED! She can sit on it and twirl.
All righty - so, Henry and Brad are driving me nuts. I think, even though he's going to look like a raving psycho, that Henry should keep up with the whole "Brad's here" thing. Denying that he's seeing Brad is not going to help him. Even Simon is starting to believe in Brad. So Henry should keep it up, and stop lying to Katie and Margo about it. Hopefully sometime soon Henry and Simon will get to talk about how Brad is terrorizing them. :-) And then maybe they can team up together to get Katie to believe, too. It shouldn't be that hard, considering she already half-believes that Brad's still there. Let's cross our fingers, 'cause this storyline is making me go slightly batty.
And Craig and Rosanna. How hurl-worthy were they at the end of today's episode? Ugh. I don't know what it is, but they've suddenly gone sour for me. I can't pinpoint why it is...maybe it's because Rosanna is just not a character that I like. I think she's emotionally weak and goes about things entirely the wrong way. She was really cool back when she was helping Paul smuggle Eliza all over the world, but now she's just...meh. Whatevs. And Craig! WTH was with that phone call to "Mrs. Snyder"?! You seriously just up and call her to tattle on Jack being at Carly's?! REALLY?! Are you twelve? He hasn't changed all that much, has he? :-)
And um, ATWT...as much as I've been enjoying seeing Margo, where the hell is the rest of her family?! It was great seeing Casey earlier this week, but where's Tom? And what happened with Riley Adam? Is he never coming back? That's a crying shame, 'cause boy was smokin'!! I'd like to see more Hughes Family interaction, plz. KTHX.
ALSO ALSO...did you see the impending SMACKDOWN between Lily and Meg for tomorrow's show?! OH HELLS YES. Finally I will get my hair-pulling, girly-slapping, Lily vs. Meg in unitards and a mud pit! It's just a shame that they're fighting over Damian. Really. Are there no better men in this world? *coughHoldencough* (Though Meg should not be fighting for Holden...if that happened, I think I'd storm the ATWT studios and punch some people in the face. Just sayin'.)
