The "Fungus of Youth" - Today's Recap, 11/10/09
The last five minutes or so of today's episode were cut off for the special Fort Hood Memorial Service Report, so I'm only going on what I saw up till then.
Okay, am I the only one who thinks that Mick Dante looks extremely reminiscent of Mason? The hair, the coat, the face shape...kinda creepy.
But! I have to say, this whole "Fountain of Youth" thing is kinda interesting! It could have been presented as uber cheesy, but it really wasn't. The flowers thing was kinda funny, but, I'm okay with that. :-) I love how distrustful Paul was. He was very funny about it. And poor Emily...as soon as she heard about the woman giving birth to her second child at age 55, you knew she was gonna be hooked. Besides, I don't think it would be such a big deal if Mick turns out to be a hoax. If he's a con artist, and the money's not being used the way it should be, then Paul and Emily just yank the funds. That's all. It happens all the time.
Okay, now Brad/Henry/Katie/Margo. Argh! What is going on with all of this. I feel so bad for Katie, because it's so obvious that she needs help and is absolutely refusing to ask for it. Not that I blame her. Absolutely not. But it would be nice if someone could give her a helping hand right now. She's been through some tough stuff lately. (I actually thought that it would be totally cute if Vienna moved in with Katie and helped her with the baby. They would all be so adorable together! But Vienna's mad at Katie now. :-/ Hopefully they will make up soon!)
And Margo and Henry. Did Margo officially arrest him? I'll have to watch the last couple minutes of the ep later when it's online. I didn't understand why Henry just didn't tell Brad to shush for a minute and that he would help him find Mr. Cub later. Then he could have given his statement to Margo and it all would have worked out! Oh, well.
Casey and Ali are still driving me nuts. They're always like, "WHY are you so interested in me all the time?!" but that's the MAIN ISSUE. Both of you are STILL way too into one another! Hello!
But please, ATWT...no Maddie/Hunter. PLEEEEEEAAAASE no Maddie/Hunter! Hunter has not worked himself into my good graces yet. He might not ever. So please, for now, don't pair him up with Maddie! That'd be like, taking a full leap back from Casey, in my opinion.
I also really wanted Luke and Noah to show up at Java today, when Maddie, Casey, Ali, and Mick were all there. I WANT MORE GROUP SCENES! Plus I want Maddie and the boys. Even if they only have a tiny conversation with each other - just something to acknowledge each other! It's probably not going to happen, but...a girl can dream.
