Hi guys! Sorry it took me so damn long to get to the recap today. Honestly, I watched about three-quarters of it and then took a phone call from my Mom, who I needed help from for the Nuke fic I'm working on, which I'm going to try to post for the Comm's monthly challenge this month. :-) We were on the phone FOREVER! Which is fine by me :-), but I would have finished today's ep way earlier if I hadn't gotten on the phone. I know that doesn't make much sense right now, but when I post, I promise it will. There's a reason why I needed Mom's help! Hehe.
Anyway, now to the recap.
Just so everyone knows, I'm gonna be cuddling Jack for the entirety of this week, k? I just adore him to death, and seeing him so sad is absolutely breaking my heart. I'm HATING that alcohol aspect of this storyline, though, I really am. I was angry that Janet brought it up (again) when Jack was telling Margo how everything went down. He wasn't drunk! And he wasn't drinking on the job! I just don't want Jack's reputation tarnished because of this. He's a good cop, a good father, and a good man. *clutches Jack protectively* Now where's my BFF Holden and Jack scene?!
But man...that scene with Janet saying prayers for everyone in the chapel, including Liberty's lost baby?! *EPIC SOBFEST* Oh my God, that was so damn sad. She was so honest about everything, and then when she asked for Jack to be taken care of, too? T_T Oh, so sad and so sweet!
And Teri's still holding down the fort in the Dumb Bitch category. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be so blunt about it, but she's driving me nuts. Finally, though, towards the end of the episode (and truthfully, even before Ralph pulled the gun on her), she was starting to believe what Dusty has been trying to tell her. Good girl! Now we know somehow Dusty's gonna run in and save Teri from the gun, and she's gonna go all gaga over Dusty and he's gonna tell her to shove it. :-) Or something like that. Hee.
And Dusty. Ohhhh Dusty. Honey and I have dubbed him the George Clooney of ATWT. He's always so slick and suave and sweet and honest and charming with the ladies (re: his lunch with Alison today), but you love him for it! I love Dusty. Telling Ali that she was smart and beautiful and should be beating the boys off with a stick. You know what? I think Dusty is Oakdale's own Fixer Upper. He gave Noah a kick in the ass to go fix things with Luke during the wheelchair time (wheelchair tiems, also known as the Brief Hiatus of Luke's Mr. Happy, as so implied ever so elegantly by the writers), then he told Noah to hang in there when Luke fell out of his chair in Old Town, and today he was all up in Ali's business about not being with Casey. Love it! Go Dusty.
Speaking of Casey...man, I'm telling you, I was so Casey/Ali HARDCORE before Maddie came back into the picture, but I would LOVE to see Casey and Maddie together! I love that they have all this history! And honestly, Casey and Ali need to step it up if (when) they get back together. The two of them are worse than Luke and Noah were when the boys had first started out. Argh, you two. Get your shit together and then take it up a notch. Otherwise, Case, grab that little brunette (I'm talking Maddie, since Ali has dyed her hair, thank you) and sweep her back off her feet!! When Maddie came out from the hospital room after talking to Henry and practically threw herself into Casey's arms I was all a'flutter with happiness! Billy and Alex just work, man.
Also, Margo? Please to be recognizing the fact that Casey tried SO HARD to be sweet with you today, and he wanted just a little bit more of your attention? This kid loves you so hard but continually feels just out of your loop of affection. So squeeze the crap outta him, ok? He needs it. :-)
And Brad and Katie. I didn't know they were going to prolong the torture for all of us. I had this (silly) notion that Brad was going to die right away and that was going to be the end of it. Instead, we all get tortured with the fact that right now, he's still alive, and from the previews, he's apparently going to be conscious for a bit more, too! Geez. Poor Katie and Jack. They're going to bear the brunt of this death, I tell you. Poor babies! *hugs them tightly*
And Uncle Ralph and Audrey. What more can we say for these two? The previews looked kinda hilarious with Barbara snatching the inheritance check right out from Audrey's nose. By the way, @Henry: THANK YOU! FINALLY GAVE ALL THE DAMN MONEY AWAY! Wasn't really worth it, was it? Vienna's gone, Katie's hurt, Brad's dying, Jack is in agony, Teri's got a gun to her face...and all because of this damn money!! Argh. Now what's gonna happen with Uncle Ralph? Is he going to be arrested or killed? I wouldn't mind either one, TBH.
