1. I have ridden an elephant twice in my life.
Status: TRUE. Once was at a circus when I was I think somewhere around 7. The second was this past weekend at the Renaissance Faire.
2. I directed, choreographed, and starred in a production of Godspell.
Status: TRUE. It was a total fluke that I starred in it...Our Jesus dropped out two weeks before the show and, as the only one who knew the all the lines and blocking, I had to step in. It was seriously my favorite role ever.
3. My favorite color is blue.
Status: FALSE. My favorite color is purple. Blue and green tie for second place.
4. I have been bitten by a penguin.
Status: TRUE. I volunteered at an aquarium my senior year of high school, and I was cleaning the enclosure when one of the penguins ran out of his hidey-hole and bit me. Let me tell you God DAMN did it hurt. I started crying right in the middle of the exhibit...people were watching! But tell me who'd be dry-eyed after getting skin ripped open by an asshole penguin while standing in an enclosure that has the alluring aroma of fish and shit. It makes a funny story though. Especially the part where my mom had to explain to the nurse what bit me.
5. I have 21 tarot decks.
Status: TRUE. I collect decks, and use them all. I'm actually relying on my Necromicon deck for ideas for Horiya. I rarely use that deck because, as you can imagine, it's quite dark. Well, Horiya's gonna be dark, so I thought it fit.
6. I have been to Italy.
Status: FALSE. I have never been outside the continental United States. I might get to study in Italy over the summer, though. Art History major! \o/
7. I nearly drowned when I was four years old, creating a lifelong phobia.
Status: TRUE. It was in my aunt's pool. For years after that you couldn't drag me into a pool with a leash. I love swimming nowadays, but try to pick me up to dunk me and DRAW BACK A NUB, pal.
8. I've struggled with depression twice in my life.
Status: TRUE. The first was when I was sixteen and the bullying I'd endured since I was five came to a head. The second was the summer after my senior year when I had a crisis of faith. Every now and then I have days or moments where I'm incredibly sad for no reason, but I've gotten a handle on it and am usually a very happy person ^.^
9. If I could be anything else for one day, I'd be a man.
Status: FALSE. I am 100% cisgendered, meaning I have absolutely zero desire to change my sex. Not even out of curiosity. If I could be anything else for a day, I'd be a dolphin or a lightning bolt.
10. The only "nutty fangirl" thing I'd ever want to do (i.e. something beyond the hug/photo/autograph) is baby-sit Tori Amos' daughter.
Status: TRUE. This woman is my awesomespiration. She seriously taught me to sing...I would not be in the *highly selective* choir I'm in now if I hadn't started listening to her in high school. I have her autobiography, and she's written in quotes from her daughter Natshya (5 at that time, 9 nowadays), and "Tash" just seems like the most awesome little kid ever.
No one got them all right, and saerwen_13 cheated because she knows me from my personal journal, so the *actual* winner is ladysonsie. I'm very "let's be fair!", though, so any of you can request stuff ^.^ sonsie will just get hers first, for winning and for having awesome Tori icons.
