Holden Who? Oh, That Dude Lying in a Hospital Bed? - Today's Recap, 10/6/09

Oct 06, 2009 15:00

Okay. I'm totally torn.

I like Lily and Damian together. I always have. I think it's mainly because they're Luke's parents, and I've always liked that father/adoptive father situation they have going on.

But I LOOOOOOVE Holden. Absolutely adore him to bits. BITS! He was Luke's best friend when he finally came out, and he was so good with Luke during the whole thing. ("You're my son...that never changes.") And Holden was always there to back Luke up or warn him about Damian's devious nature (and even save Luke during that whole airport escapade when Damian tried to take Luke back to Malta with him).

So I totally thought that I'd abhor today's events between Lily and Damian - that I most likely wouldn't be able to watch it, but...damn. I have to man up and say that all those family scenes between Damian and the Snyders were SO DAMN CUTE. Oh my God. SO FRICKING CUTE I COULD SPIT.

I loved the little family meeting, when Lily asked them all what they thought she should do. And Faith. FAITH! That little girl's becoming a powerhouse, man. She's totally growing up! Love it. I'm glad she's not that bitter angry little girl she was only a couple months ago. YEAH!

And let's not forget that ending scene with the Snyder kids on the porch. OH DEAR JESUS LORD. Did you see Ethan playing with Luke's hand the entire time they were talking?! GAAAAAAHHHH. And then, did you see Ethan fricking NUZZLE LUKE'S FACE WITH HIS OWN?! *dead* I love any and all glimpses of Future!Daddy!Luke, and we got them in abundance today! First Luke cuddled with Ethan on the couch, then they were sitting together on the porch...OH MY. Deep breaths, deep breaths. We actually got all four Snyder kids together in more than one scene today! And the Snyder family hug was adorable.

And Lily and Damian were sweet, they really were. I didn't expect them to be. I thought I was going to be facepalming the entire time. I totally wasn't. It's weird to say this, but based on today's episode alone, it's a shame that Holden's really alive. (WUT?! Who said that?! :-P)

And Holden's daydream about coming home to his family was cheesy, but also really damn sweet. (Luke didn't hug him, though! Grrr. What the hell kinda homecoming is that! Hehe.) I think it was played out well. Now hopefully tomorrow we'll see the real thing! And Luke better hug him, dammit.

And poor Maevey today. I felt bad for her. I know she's planning on taking the money and running, but I hope that's not what happens. I really want Holden to help her out like he said he would. They'd have to dodge some bullets, no doubt, but it would be great to see him set her up with a new life and all that. And her goodbye to him in the hospital was so sweet. You can tell she really did love him. I'm glad she respected his feelings for Lily. Go Maeve!

And Emily and Paul continue to be awesome together. I'm loving Paul now more than I ever have before. He's funny and fun and has a really good head on his shoulders at the moment! And he and Emily are just rocking it out, husband-and-wife-wise. They're great!

But Meg. Ohhhhh, Meg. You know what? I'm not even going to mention how hysterical and ridiculous she was today, and how dumb I think it is that she's still holding on to Damian after all this crap has gone on. Oh, wait. Oops. :-) Damn it, Meg...MOVE ON! There are plenty of fishes in the sea.

And Liberty and Janet. Good Lord. Janet. JANET. How did you expect Liberty to react to your so-called solution?! Seriously. Janet is upsetting me because she keeps telling Liberty that it's all her choice, but she just throws more stuff at Liberty every chance she gets, which confuses the frick out of Liberty, and then they just get angry with one another and nothing gets resolved. Liberty is stressed out to the max and Janet is not helping. What a crazy scenario!

So, previews didn't look especially exciting for tomorrow. I think it's funny that Luke warns Noah not to let Mason touch him (not exactly what you should be worrying about when spending time with a professor of yours, lol), but other than that...I dunno. The wedding should be interesting, even though we know Noah is MIA during the ceremony. I guess I'm more interested in the aftermath...Holden's return, and Luke and Noah's reunion after all that. I hope they show us the scene in which Luke tells Noah that Holden's alive. Something tells me I am going to be disappointed.

Anyway. YAY Nuke Day tomorrow!
