"I'm Calling the Shots Here" (Quite Literally) - Today's Recap, 10/5/09
I just wanna start off saying that I want to cuddle Jack and hold him and tell him how awesome he is!!
So, FINALLY Eb bites the big one. Heh. Never thought I'd be so happy saying that, lol. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole breaking and entering, Faith-by-gunpoint scenario today. I was rooting for Damian the entire time. You know, the sad thing is, something may have worked out if Eb had just listened to Damian or Lily. Both of them are rolling in the dough...he might have been able to finagle something with them, yes? But I guess he wasn't crafty enough.
Anyway, I loved how Damian yelled at Eb about pointing a gun at Luke ("You were pointing a gun at MY SON!"), and I love how he just jumped on him first chance he got. And then Lily! Damn girl. She jumps on Eb, too! WTF?! Haha. Loved it! And Faith should get major props today. We all know how stubborn she is, and how long she holds grudges, but she really stepped up today. She recognized the fact that Damian risked his life for hers and she totally acknowledged it like a mature adult. (Or like a mature kid...) Luke would have been proud of her, especially when she hugged Damian. (Aww!) Good girl, Faith. Now wait till you find out Holden's still alive! HAHAHA. She's gonna rip Damian a new one.
And speaking of, Holden and Maeve today. AHAHA Maeve. Most inappropriate time and place to be asking for Holden to make love to you. Say that Holden even entertained that idea, how would they have even done that? Rolling around on the cold dirt floor? Up against the dusty wooden shelves? Ugh! And let's not even mention the lack of contraceptives! Silly Maeve. In some other storyline, in which both people are single and neither one of them can resist the other (*coughLukeNoahcough*), that scenario would be hot. Today it was just kinda funny. ^_^ Poor Maeve. She is so afraid to trust Holden, so afraid to trust that there is something else out there for her; that she could actually have the chance to find what she's always wanted. I like Maeve. She's really sweet.
Now let's talk about Oakdale's own defunct couple: Craig and Rosanna. I have to say, at the beginning of the episode, I was totally rolling my eyes at them and facepalming a little (especially at Rosanna...she was acting like a little kid), but then, their conversation in Craig's room at the end of the episode was so good. They really pulled that one off, what with the meaningful stares and the longing tension in the room. Man. I'm actually not upset about them being together now because of that scene. And I guess Carly's basically told both of them to suck it, hasn't she? Damn, Carly. That doesn't really surprise me.
And Janet's not surprising me, either, but she is driving me up the fricking wall. My God, Janet, W.T.H. Seriously. She is royally pissing me off. I'm glad that Brad (and Jack, sort of) stood up to her. I'm loving the crap out of Brad right now. He and Parker really seem to be the only ones who truly want to know what Liberty wants to do in this whole fiasco.
And Jack. Oh Jack. How I love you. How I adore you. How I want to hear more about how you love your BFF Holden. So sad today. He really did have kind of a crappy day, didn't he? Poor Jack. The pic of him and Holden and "Snydertown Rd" was so sweet. AAHHHHH. I love Jack and Holden BFFs. T_T I would have liked to have seen more of Jack in Cop Mode during the whole Eb struggle today, though. That would have been cooler if he and Damian had tag-teamed up against Eb. But who cares. Sad!Jack and his woes over Holden takes precedence, and I'm okay with that! ^_^ I can't wait for Holden's return (although we've all seen the sneak peek clip in which we all want to smack Lily upside the head). It'll just be good seeing everyone knowing that Holden's alive. Hopefully tomorrow will be the episode in which Maeve and Holden FINALLY escape!
Tomorrow's episode looks good, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't antsy for Wednesday and Thursday. I really want to see what's going to happen with the whole Mason deal. And writers, WTF?! Once again Noah misses a big event (okay, so maybe it's more of a "big event", since that term is debatable in this situation) in Luke's life. Argh. Love the tension and the drama between the boys, but also love the sweetness and the lovely-ness! Hopefully they're trying to give us both. Most likely in that order. ^_^
