Let's blow this popsicle stand! - Today's Recap, 9/16/09

Lily's permanent note to self: Teach kids how to knock on closed doors and wait for answer before entering. This will make my life infinitely easier in the future, especially during one of my unexpected trysts.

Maeve to Holden: "Lean on meeeee, when you're not strooooonnngg..."

Luke, thinking out loud: "My mom's been cheating on my dad with...my dad." *headdesk*

Ahem. Now to the recap.

Let's start with Meg and Faith's encounter in the farm kitchen. I have to say, I am impressed that Faith did not scream everything at Meg right off the bat. She was so charged up when she left the house that I was surprised to see that when she got to the farm, she was actually very quiet at first. And Meg was very sweet with her! Unfortunately, the cat came out of the bag as soon as Luke showed up. ^_^ Kudos to Luke for telling Meg that she had to talk to Damian to find out what was going on.

Now Lily and Damian...I can't say much about Lily, because her self-loathing was so apparent right from the start, but Damian, man...you have sufficiently effed everything up now, haven't you?!

I continue to find myself on Meg's side of this whole relationship-debacle, too. I didn't think I was going to like Meg's reaction to Damian's news, but I did. She let him have it without being that overly whiny, ridiculous Meg we have all come to *facepalm* at. You go, girl. And now tomorrow, more Meg and Lily showdown! Do I see hair-pulling and girly-slapping in the near future?!

And now...let's talk about Luke. Let's talk about how awesomesauce his reaction to Lily and Damian was today. I love how he yelled, "You need to make me understand!" when Lily was worried about explaining to Faith first.

BUT! Now he's thrown Damian out of his life once again. T_T I didn't want that to happen, I really didn't. I do think Damian honestly cares about Luke. We all know it wasn't his first intention to get into Lily's pants. But of course, Luke doesn't know that, and he didn't give Damian a chance to explain. T_T WAAAAHHH. I still say, though, that Van and Paolo always have the most emotionally charged scenes together. They're so good with one another!

And why do I love it when Luke curses Damian off?! AHAHA. First Damian was a "stupid, lying, son-of-a-bitch", and now he's the "same, selfish bastard" he's always been. Ouch, Luke. Those insults hurt me.

Also, that hug between Lily and Luke? It twisted my heart into knots a little. So sad, so sweet. I love Lily and Luke. I love their understanding of each other, even when one of them has screwed up and hurt the other one.

Now when do we get to see the scene where Luke breaks the news of his mother's romp in the sack with Damian to Noah? I'd really like to see Noah's reaction. And some more Hurt!Luke comforting scenes with him.

Oh, and let's not forget Maeve and Holden. When the hell are they truly going to break away from this?! Argh. I love the fact that Maeve smashed Eb over the head with a frying pan (she really let him have it, too! Damn, girl), but they didn't get very far! Grrr. My stomach was roiling with Eb sweet-talking Maeve today. Ugh. His character is just so despicable. I hate domestic violence!

Anyway, I fully enjoyed today's episode. I really like how it focused just on the Snyders. And more Faith and Luke scenes, please! I love the two of them together.
