"Looks Like Everyone's Getting What They Want" - Tuesday's Recap, 9/15/09
All right. First and foremost, I have to say: Poor Meg.
I am not the biggest Meg sympathizer on the planet, but honestly...she's getting a raw deal right now. First Damian makes her feel like crap when she surprises him with the trip to Aruba, and then she goes out of her way to secure Eliza staying with Paul so that she and Damian can have some alone time while they're enjoying their trip (almost at his request), and then she's all excited buying dental-floss type bathing suits and wanting to help Damian pack, while he's off shagging a half-delirious Lily in Holden's bed.
Grrr. Damian. WTH. I like you, but you are not handling this very well! I know he genuinely cares for Lily, but at this stage in the game, I really think he should be backing off. Lest we forget - Holden was Meg's family, too! Lily is NOT the only one who's hurting over losing him. The minute Damian started having strong feelings for Lily, he should have told Meg. (Although, this is a soap...so if he had done that, it wouldn't have been very soapy. ^_^)
And surprise appearance by Susan today! I don't think we've seen Susan since the whole egg-stealing incident and Hunter-reveal with Emily. I'm glad she's going to support her daughter.
And is it just me, or did Paul and Emily really start showing how much they actually love one another in this episode? They had me melting a bit, totally not gonna lie. ^_^ I'm actually very glad they are getting married. (Never thought I'd say that! They had me reaching for the brain bleach when they first started out!)
You know who else is getting a raw deal? Poor Vienna. First the whole Geneva debacle, and now Henry's planning to launder money. Sheesh. C'mon, Henry! I'm trying not to be upset at him, but he keeps slipping! Let the money go. It will only cause you trouble in the end. Also, doesn't this new arrangement with Ralph suggest that Audrey will be in Henry's life for a lot longer now? Geez. Good for soap opera drama...not good for Henry and Vienna's relationship.
Aaaaaaand previews. AHAHAHA. It probably wasn't supposed to be funny but...the look on Luke's face when he sees Lily running after Faith and Damian following closely behind (conveniently still pulling his shirt on) made me laugh out loud. Luke's expression is totally like, "As if hetero sex wasn't yucky enough - it's hetero sex involving my parents! BARF!" AHAHAHAHA. Love you, Luke. Please to be going after Faith now? She's totally going to flip her shit after this. (PS - Lily, when caught in the act by your pre-teenaged daughter, perhaps it is NOT the best thing to be running after her in your robe! Just sayin'. Change first, because Faith is going to need time to stab her eyes out before she can face you again.) ^_^
And I don't like physical violence in any sense, but I don't blame Meg for wailing on Damian. He really shit up the works. Poor Meg. (Man, this entry is full of firsts for me! Melting at Emily and Paul, sympathizing with Meg....the world must be flat! ^_^)
Things are gettin' down and dirty, people! In more ways than one! ^_~
