Maddie's back!
According to Soap Central, Alexandra Chando is coming back to ATWT; her episodes will be appearing probbaly in August.

Yeah, I'm kind of assuming that the majority of Maddie's plot will be focused on Henry and her mom (which will be awesome, I miss seeing Alex and Trent together), although there will undoubtedly be romantic drama thrown in.
Where did Jade go, by the way? Did she head back to Florida?
My theory is that she's babysitting Ethan in his freezer while they wait for the writers to remember their existence.
Anyway, I just have to say that Riley/Maddie is all kinds of squick for me. He tried to rape her best friend and then she tried to kill him. I mean, that's not exactly uncommon for couples in this show (hai thar Emily and Paul), but I don't really see Maddie as the type to forget. I mean, I could probably see a scene where she's interested and Casey flips out and spoils Adam's disguise to her, causing massive drama and perhaps the public outing of Riley's identity, but I can't see the two of them as an actual couple. I can see them as mortal enemies! Maybe that could be what would set up Jade/Riley, Maddie's extreme hatred of both of them...
And I know you disagree, but I really want to see a fleshed-out Maddie/Casey/Alison triangle. It probably won't help Casey's situation that Margo hates the Stewarts (although Alison usually gets a bye for saving her life) and loves Maddie to itsy-bitsy pieces. And, okay, most of this probably comes from the fact that I'm still a deep-down Maddie/Casey 'shipper. They were just so cute!
Although, knowing this show, we'll probably wind up with a Jade/Riley/Alison/Casey/Maddie/Hunter/Liberty/Parker/Teri/Matt O'Connor/Jade decagon, or something equally as ridiculous.

That crossed my mind, too :/ Though forgiving and forgetting unforgiveable/unforgettable things seems to be common on this show, so I don't quite think it's out of the realm of possibility.
I've seen a couple Maddie/Casey clips (mainly around the slasher plotline) and I agree that they were very cute <3
