Sierra's Back! - Today's Recap, 7/21/10
Okay, so I have NEVER said this before in over a year of watching and loving this show:
Holden Snyder is on my Shitlist.
For a couple different reasons. One is that he won't let this thing with Lily and Craig go. Another is that because he won't let this thing with Lily and Craig go, he's reinforcing the feeling that Lily can't possibly exist without a man. And the third and final reason is because of his "three kids with Lily" line to the priest today.
You guys know I love Luke. I LOVE HIM. Gates of hell and back, right? So I get touchy when Lily and Holden talk about their kids but NEVER mention him, and then today, Holden doesn't even include him in the list of kids he has with Lily.
Okay, so Luke's not technically blood-related to Holden. But that never seemed to set him apart from Faith, Natalie, and Ethan. Holden fricking delivered Luke on the farm's kitchen floor, protected Luke from Damian (and Dante) whenever he needed to (and sometimes when he didn't), officially adopted him, and raised him like he was one of Holden's own. Luke considers Holden his one and only dad. BUT LUKE'S SUDDENLY NOT WORTH A TEENY-TINY MENTION FROM HOLDEN?! WTF?!
Holden, I love you...but you need to seriously BACK OFF. Leave Lily alone and just worry about Molly and your kids (whether or not that includes Luke >_>) from now on. GRRR.
And I have a bad feeling about Holden and Molly, especially since Molly's been all "Iloveyou Iloveyou Iloveyou" to him these past couple episodes. I feel like it's a little over the top. Of course, I'm kinda done with Molly, so that also could be adding to how I feel. :-P
And there was something off with Faith's bridesmaid's dress, too. I dunno...color, style...something. I didn't think it looked good at all. Maybe because it seriously clashed with Lily's sweater at the time. *shrug* Shallow judgments are shallow. :-)
And Lucinda. She tells Dusty that he's too obsessed with finding the dirt on Blackie and he should just let it go. But um...last time I checked, Lucinda was practically stalking Craig for no other purpose but destroying him. Lucinda should take her own advice, yes?
And thankfully Sierra is there to not take Lucinda's bullshit. I love Lucinda, but this thing with Craig (compounded by the fact that Lily's going to get hurt, too) is tiring. I hope Sierra is able to talk Lucinda out of whatever she's planning with Craig, if for nothing else but Lily's benefit.
Also, I'm kinda hoping that Lucy wins Dusty back. I never thought I would say that, because I've never really been invested in Lucy too much (though I did like her with Dusty back in the day), but everything with Janet just pisses me off so much that I don't feel like she deserves Dusty anymore. If she wants to be an idiot and make her life harder on herself, I say go for it. But leave Dusty out of it!
And with today's episode, with Jack and Dusty both trying to tell Janet what they think is suspicious about Blackie and Janet just completely ignoring them because once upon a time she and Blackie were BFFs and therefore he can do no harm? You know what I wanted to say to Janet? --> Shut up. Just shut the hell up.
She did the same thing with her father. Pop comes strolling back into her life after twenty years (and after he told her to hit the road when she was pregnant), and when Dusty tried to tell her he was up to something (which he was, with Uncle Ralph), she told Dusty to can it and took her father's word over his. Same thing with Dusty and Uncle Ralph. Ralph had to kidnap Teri and tie her to a fricking chair before Janet believed anything was wrong with him. WHERE IS HER BRAIN?!
And then Liberty did the same thing, taking Gabriel's word over Parker's when things started to go sour between the three of them. The Ciccone apple does not fall far from the Ciccone tree.
Bah.
Sorry, guys. Don't mean to be a Debbie Downer. I'm just really not connecting with these storylines as of late. I'm good with Lily (though I think she's getting in trouble), and I'm good with Carly and Jack, and I can't wait for more Henry/Babs/Katie (with Will on the side XD), but everything else is ticking me off. And it's ticking me off that I'm ticked off at Holden today, and that ticks me off even more! :-P HAHA.
Anyway. How scared were you guys when you saw Faith being nice to Lily today? They actually shared a WHOLE CONVERSATION that was civil! No snarking, no sassing, NOTHING! Lily even got to kiss Faith on the forehead! ACK! :-P And I thought it was really sweet of Lily to go with Faith to her fitting, despite how she feels about Molly and Holden's impending marriage. Lily is really trying, and I'm really giving her props for that. *hugs her*
Hopefully tomorrow will be better! I dunno, but...I'll try not to get upset with every person on the show, I promise! :-P I need more Luke in my life. His pretty pretty face makes me happy. :-)
