Pop Goes the Weasel - Today's Recap, 7/12/10
So I feel like :-D and :-( at Henry today.
First, I have never seen him so violent before! He threw Vienna's fake baby belly AT her and then practically drop-kicked her out the door! Holy cow.
Honey and I have this very funny joke about Holden manhandling Damian whenever they're together. I've probably mentioned it before as the "one hand on the back of the collar, one hand on the back of the trousers" scenario where Holden pretty much tosses Damian out on his face. The ol' heave-ho. :-P Well, when Henry kicked Vienna out, that's exactly the image that came to mind for both of us and we started laughing hardcore! HAHAHAHA. Holden teaches Henry how to deal with bitches. :-P
This may sound mean, but I'm happy that everything FINALLY blew up in Vienna's face! Henry scared me a little bit, because I've never seen him at that level of anger, but it's totally understandable and I'm so glad that Vienna can't lie to him anymore.
But I'm also really sad, because Henry didn't deserve this, and now he doesn't even know what he can and can't believe from Vienna anymore. Not that it matters much.
BUT! BUT!
How much did you love the fact that he went straight to Barbara's room?! And then he called Barbara and said he needed her?! AND THEN HE TOLD HER HE LOVED HER!!!
Okay, it would have been better said to her face, but WHO CARES? YAAAAAAAY HENRY! GO GET YOUR WOMAN!
And Vienna kept saying, "Barbara doesn't love you the way I do," and I kept thinking, Thank God for that! Barbara loves him better. And she loves him for who he is. ♥
I hope he finds her soon. And I hope she comforts him and he tells her he loves her and it's wonderfulness between them. Here's hoping!
So now Vienna...after getting tossed on her ass, calls Katie - who's already having her own meltdown about her involvement in this ridiculousness - and says, "How could you do this to me?" UM. PRETTY SURE YOU DID IT TO YOURSELF, YA ARSCHLOCH. Then Vienna says, "I don't want any more help from you," like Katie was the one who did something wrong. UM. HELLO. WHERE IS YOUR BRAIN?! PS - Way to be a great friend to Katie.
So then poor Katie spent much of the episode very upset about losing Henry and she even went after him to talk to him, to tell him that she still cares for him and will help him if he needs her. And Chris was right there, to back Katie up every step of the way, and comfort her when she needed it. GO CHRIS AND KATIE!
Also...I'm not sure if I said this before, but...if Katie can forgive Henry the whole Brad debacle, then I'm sure Henry can forgive her for this Vienna mishap. It will just take some time (and probably persistence, on Katie's part). Gray skies are gonna clear up; put on a happy face...
Oh, and extra props to Chris for his, "You lit the fuse, now watch the explosion," line to Vienna. BOO-YA!
But now Vienna's vowing that she'll never lose Henry. UGH. She should just slink out of Oakdale with her tail between her legs and save the tiny millimeter of her pride that's still intact. I seriously wanted to smash that bowl of ice cream in her face. LOL.
And Gwen accidentally stumbles upon Barbara's passport, under the couch in Barbara's room at the Lakeview. DUN DUN DUNNNNN. So Will asks Jack to look into it, because the whole thing is fishy. Jack agrees. :-) And Gwen spent some really cute time with Carly, talking about their love and life past and current woes. :-D Sweet!
Now Craig has convinced Lily to take Carly to New York to sign paperwork for their new fragrance warehouse in France. Holden stopped by Lily's office to give Craig the Awkward Eye and then ask Lily if the kids could be involved in his wedding to Molly. Too bad Ethan was all, "Why are you marrying Molly? She sucks," when Holden talked to him about it later! HAHA. Then Holden was like, "Run along. You ask too many questions," back to him. HAHAHA. Lily, who is not handling Holden's marriage well, agrees to let Faith and Ethan be a part of the festivities.
Also...I know he's not a kid, but...why no mention of Luke?! He's still living at Lily's, and he's one of their kids, and...doesn't Holden want him to be involved, too? Even if he's just a guest? Grrr. Stop isolating your characters, show!! At least give us the noncommittal name-drop every now and then! Sheesh. :-P
Anyway, something funky happens and it seems like tomorrow, Carly has to back out on the NY trip, so Lily begs Craig to go with her. *GAG* I'm keeping the brain-bleach on stand-by.
Also, it looks like Janet and Dusty are going to have a cute date at the movies with the whole hands-meet-in-the-tub-of-popcorn thing! Awwww. C'mon Janet, stop being a dumbhead and just be with him already!
