long time, no see...
ok, so i know it's been forever and a day since i've updated in this little shin-dig, but hey, what can i say? i've been busy. and this time, that statement is actually true. let's see, where to start...
-got home from florida. i know i never finished the update on the trip, but fact is, most of you already heard the stories and the rest of you either don't care enough or know all you think you need to know from what little i did post earlier. had a blast, wish i was going back.
-did the races in joliet. met my future husband, brian vickers. want him with all the energy of a thousand burning suns. ok, maybe that's a little strong of a description, but close enough. there's pictures of the whole weekend, i'll post them on yahoo someday.
-turned 21. went camping with the neighbors and cook and meg. had more fun than probably should've been allowed. did NOT get drunk. go ahead, be proud, or disappointed, or whatever, but we had fun. again, more fun than probably should be allowed.
-started working at the metropolis performing arts centre in arlington heights. LOVE IT. don't ever want to go back to working at lnt again, if i didn't have to. the people are great, and i'm doing all kinds of fun things that i've never done before, and i'm having a blast. i sit in my car every night on the way home, stuck in construction traffic, and feel really lucky to have this amazing opportunity. it's an hour drive, (if i don't get stuck in construction traffic), and it's unpaid, but i'm having so much fun and learning so much, that i don't care. all i ever want to do is go back. it feels funny, to like a job this much, i've never had that before. go ahead, be jealous.
-went to see dave matthews band with cook at alpine valley. AMAZING. again, had more fun that we should've. seems to be the pattern with her...
-cathe's in town for a few more days. we went to the movies with cook and kristi. saw the princess diaries 2 and were completely obnoxious during the whole movie. it was spectacular.
-heard a rumor that sister hazel and hootie and the blowfish are playing someplace in naperville soon. kate, if you hear any scuttlebutt, care to throw it my way? tickets are supposed to be super-cheap too. really wanna go...
-twitchin' to go to another race. anybody's got extra tickets and airfare runnin' around unclaimed, i'll be more than glad to take them off your hands. :-)
i think that covers things for now, but don't be surprised if i get behind again. at the rate i'm going, i probably won't have a whole day off till september 11-12 for the arca and irl races at joliet. wish me luck, and i miss you all!
