Stormy Weather
I let the rain,
Wash away my pain.
Filled with shame,
Life is more than just a game.
Stormclouds in the skies,
Mirror emotions in my eyes.
Stupid sadness,
Almost madness.
Don’t let go,
Though I feel low.
Must admit,
I think of it.
Sometimes strong,
But not for long.
Say I’m fine,
But know I’m lying.
Please don’t tell,
I’m in Hell.
You say it gets better,
Like the weather.
Comes and goes,
High and lows.
Ocean tide,
Side to side.
I believe you,
Know it’s true.
But times like these,
I feel like leaves.
Blown around,
In leaps and bounds.
Affected by the smallest breeze,
Ignoring all my feeble pleas.
You tell me it will be all right,
Beg me not to stop the fight.
I respond that life’s not fair,
Why should I decide to care?
Suddenly enveloped in a hug,
I sigh, feeling snug as a bug.
Why? You whisper in my ear,
Why? Because I love you dear.
