"when hummingbirds attack!"
hey there this is another attempt in my effort to be good at lj. this morning i walked to work, i have walked to work every day this week. it is easier to walk to work than from work, cause it is mostly downhill but it is up and down some. it is so steep that it really hurt my hips to walk down the hill, it is the same hill i had trouble getting up!! but at leas walking down doesnt give me an asthma attack, just an arthritis attack... my stupid hips. anyways, i think in april or when the weather gets nice, i will try to walk back from work too, but go a different route then my walk there, so it will be a loop.
anyways, the walk is nice, the town has lots of trees so it is sort of naturey, even tho there are houses around. this morning leaving my apartment i saw a hummingbird, sitting in a tree on a branch and chipring, haha which was odd, he didnt really chirp he made a sort of odd noise. then i saw him fly up and attack this other bird!!! this is the second time in my life i have seen a hummingbird attack another bird, and they were both down here. are hummingbirds really agressive?? i guess so! it was odd. and then i saw on my walk a squirrel walking on an electircal wire like a tightrope, which was funny. and i saw a cockroach and i tried to identify it. i think it was a periplaneta americana juvinile since it wasnt as big as the ones in NO, or maybe they just dont get as big here.
anyways, work has been sort of a snooze. today we had some unknowns, and i had gonnorea and group b strep in a fake sample. anyways my gc was too small to work up so i got out of doing the boring thing, and i got to use the outdated kit three years expired DFA and use that on my gc. anyways, it worked! and the teacher was so impressed. she said it was the most beautiful dfa she ever seen so that was cool. we went to lunch at kfc all of us and then we got out an hour early! haha but we had already turned in our time sheets for up utnil the 15th as working 8 hours a day so it doesnt matter :) we are like, hourly salardied people... haha pretty sweet. and i got up the guts to call the student loan people and tell them i was employed, i was worried cause i was on an economic deferral and i was like well i got a job do i need to restart my payments? they are like no its ok, and im like good cause i havent been paid yet!!! haha it will be a long hard struggle this next week to eat... i am running out of money!!! and then my whole paycheck will pretty much go to rent... mmm cereal... haha
