The curse of the dreaded yellow lighter
I've lived in a lot of different places, and hung out with a lot of different people, and there is one thing that every group has had in common: The majority of the people from each group I've ever been acquainted with have a genuine fear of yellow lighters. They claim that yellow lighters are bad luck and they refuse to carry them or even use them. I am not superstitious at all, so I went out and bought three yellow bic lighters the other day. I did this to disprove the ridiculous myth that they are bad luck. It turned out to be an excellent idea. Not only have the yellow lighters brouught absolutely no ill effects, but since everyone is afraid of them, noone steals my lighters anymore!! Yellow lighters + me = a marriage of convenience.
