man seeking life... desperately
So, I've never been much for the online gaming offerings. "I have to pay a subscription fee to be harrassed by teenage fucks saying stuff like 'haxx0r' and 'phat l3wt'?" Um... no.
That said, however... here are five little words that rock my world in anticipation: "Lord of the Rings Online". Looks good. Likes like a lot of care has been taken to keep as close to "lore" as possible. As in, no fireball spells. Also, the only "player vs. player" offerings will be for volunteers only -- no uber-dorks going around "ganking n00bs". The screen shots are pretty.
I could be in deep, deep, doodoo when this game is released (or if I get a Beta invitation...)
