Hello, hello everyone. I know I don't have many readers yet, but I can assure you, I will! Just as my wit will test the tides of time and.... Anyway, I came across a fascinating article the other day. It was on one of the communities here on LJ. It seems steampunk has finally made it to a, well, slight mainstream. Hopefully we can all walk around in long coats and top hates before the year is over, if global warming has no say in it.
Steampunk in the NY times I really recommend reading it, it's a great article. Even mentions how modern movies like Iron Man show how we have a need for witty, attractive inventors. Or maybe I just made that up. Either way, I've thought of a new name for the store I'm going to create on Etsy. (
go here to see their goodies). I'm going to call it Orpheus Alchemy, and we're going to start by selling simple things, then start making larger peices, mostly steampunk and alchemy-themed. Exciting!
Anyway, off for now, I have a shirt to make and a bionic clock-work arm-piece to construct, you know how it is.
