inspired Lite

Thanks to hbunny for inspiration to contemplate boredom in the middle of a busy work week. The first line I included in my response to his comment, and sort of to C Dawg's, but the rest belonged on my page, not in some long email/post.

I want to be bored, too. "Boredom" rolls of my tongue suggestively - there are so many ways to be bored. I want to have time to decide not to mow my lawn or clean my room rather than committing these transgressions by default. Just yesterday I worked, played softball, drove to a girl's-night-in for an hour and dinner, and drove to Ray's for drinks and a beach walk until 2am with a couple of friends. Then this weekend I'm going out of town to be lazy and warm in a veritable paridise and all I can think about is the 4+ shows and performances I'm missing Friday and Saturday. Ah well. Perhaps it'll be like putting some relaxation in the bank for later, or filling up my relaxation tank so I can expend the fuel as the month ramps up.

I realize I am responsible for my lack of boredom, but there are so many cool people to do neat things with! The latest endeavor sprouted from the firedancing connections - I have joined a group called the Treasure Chests, a silly, sexy burlesque/fire group started for BurningMan, but the popularity is such that we might be performing even after BM. The best thing is planning the costumes! So many artistic, girly fun frilly things to do. It's wonderful :)
One day I'll be able to do this stuff with the majority of my days perhaps.

Well, back to real work life.... g'day.
