just saw an infomercial for a new hand sanitizing product called OutLast. it purports to keep your hands "germ-free" for up to 6 hours.  it boasts a non-sticky and moisturizing consistency, yet nowhere on the internet can i find the ingredients for it.  the website is vague as hell.  there are a series of FAQ's in the customer care section, one of which reads:
What makes OutLast™ Hand Sanitizer different from other over-the-counter hand sanitizers that lack persistence? Other hand sanitizers that lack persistence kill germs quickly, but as soon as a contaminated surface is touched, new germs are transferred to the hands. What separates OutLast™ Hand Sanitizer from other alcohol-based hand sanitizers is its patented formula, which provides the ability to control harmful germs for up to six hours. a lengthy response for four simple words, "it lasts six hours."  working the the porn store has given me a new concern for what goes into products for our bodies, from phthalates to parabens to everything in between.  the first thought that popped into my mind watching the commercial was that this new OutLast shit is probably made with silicone.  my guess is a silicone/water-based hybrid like sliquid but with the added ethyl alcohol as an antiseptic.  the closest the website will indicate as to what's actually in OutLast is a trademarked "viacydin technology" that is even harder to find ingredients for on the internet.  it reminds me of the boner pills we sell with these crazy patented names that were basically just caffeine and ginseng in a capsule.

are people really dumb enough to buy this crap?
