It's kinda like test anxiety. It involves nightmares and general restlessness. The nightmares started back in high school. I used to wake up about 3 hours before my alarm was set to go off and every 10-20 minutes after that because I forgot that I set it and thought I over-slept. The nightmares are usually about being late.
Last night it was worse than it's ever been. The nightmares were not only about being late, but also about being unprepared and not being allowed to go to class. I woke up in a cold sweat at 4:45 and tossed and turned for the rest of the night. I keep telling myself that this was my second to the last first day. Just one more in September then it'll be over.
Except it happens with jobs as well. Anything with a time schedule is a potential trigger for me.
I hate life.
