Zero in Williston, VT!
Weather: Sunny, Muggy
Animals: Two cute kittens!

It's hard to sleep in when your body is used to rising by 6 each morning. I think I made it to seven and I couldn't sleep another wink. Tim and I milled about, watching some HD programming until Kate and Rick woke up. Kate made an awesome breakfast, egg sandwiches and pancakes with VT maple syrup, which we devoured promptly. After a program on the Spanish Flue of 1918, we took Kate's cat to run the errands we needed to complete. First, the grocery store for some oatmeal and gorp replacement. Then we took the "long way" to downtown (Tim got lost) to pick up some gear that Steve wanted. The North Face Store had nothing to offer, so we walked over to the Outdoor Gear Exchange. The World Cup was on TV and there were a bunch of people clustered around it. Steve headed over to the Men's section and I just began to wander. The food section grabbed my attention, and I nabbed a 3-berry cobbler for dessert. Mmmm. I also grabbed a spoon/fork/knife combo. (Can you still call that a spork? Or is it now a Sporf?) A store associate convinced me not to buy one though. I bet he makes good sales. Next we headed over the the Magic Hat Brewery for a few samples, and a growler of #375. I almost convinced Tim to get the same green t-shirt that I have while we were there. With beer and gear in tow, we drove back to the chateu and headed out to Waterbury to the Alchemist, and awesome brew-pub with amazing food. We had sweet potato fries with 3 dippings sauces, homemade ketchup, garlic mayo, and herbed. I tried a soda, citrus hibiscus, not bad, honey flavor was a bit overwhelming. Back at the house, more beer was consumed, guiness cake was passed. Sleep came with full, happy bellies.
