I swear, right now I wanna take the developer of my algebra class's website, grab him by the shirt, and use his head as a punching bag...
As I've said before, I'm running Ubuntu with Firefox. Problem is, the algebra site is all in ActiveX....Microshaft Idiot Exploder's proprietary format...so I am forced to do algebra on D's puter instead of my own...which sucks...
So I was messing around with some options today. One idea,
IEs4Linux, allows you to download versions of IE 5, IE 5.5, and IE 6. The IE 6 version wouldn't work with the ActiveX controls. So, I tried the older versions, and the algebra site told me that it didn't support anything older than IE 6 and I should either upgrade IE or download Firefox.
Meanwhile, going thru the tech support website for it, I am told that it doesn't support Firefox at all! So, why does the other error message tell me to download it??!!
*sighs* So much for option A. Option B is trying to set up a virtual machine on my computer to run an install of XP in a window so I can run IE and do my homework. Only problem with that is we can't find the damn XP disk!!!
Which means, at least until I find that damn CD, the only homework I can't do on my own computer is my computer science labs (well, the CD part anyway. Usually, I can answer the questions without actually using the CD tho) and my algebra...which means that those two classes are still going to be the ones I procrastinate on for most of the week until I finally drag myself to D's puter to do my homework...*sighs* Ugh...
On a completely different note, I have to go take my algebra midterm tomorrow, and I'm probably gonna flunk the damn thing. So, wish me luck...
