(no subject)
Wow, haven't updated this biatch in some time so here I go....
Work has been going good. They're talking about having me run as a Paramedic soon, which will be interesting. More work, but a pay raise too. Plus it will keep me busy during the day which makes work go by much faster. We had a few interesting calls in the last few days. Last day a cycle ago, a five yr old had a near drowning at the high school. We have some fucking good medics and they were able to stabalize her. Once they got the child to the ER, it wasn't looking like she was going to pull through though. However, our next day, we found out that she lived and is doing better.
Then yesterday we got hit with back to back overdoses. The first guy ended up being fine, the other wasn't so lucky. When we got to him he was on the ground hunched over with a crack pipe and not breathing. We had no clue how long he had been down and his pupils were already fixed. He was also really cyanotic too. Soooo we got him pronounced.
Over my four-day I went to Nikki's cousin's wedding. Let's just say that it was an experience, and I had a good time. I've just been hangin' out with Nikki and drinkin' and chillin' like a villain. Went over to the rents place for a BBQ and some free alcohol, always a plus. Nikki and I were supposed to go camping over the weekend, but yea....the weather fucking sucked so we just hung out at the old homestead. We ended up getting chinese, drinking, and renting a flick. Same old shit but we still have a great time. Oh yeah, I got to meet a couple of Nikki's friends. They stopped by my house and had a few drinks. They were pretty cool, and I'm glad that I got to hang with 'em.
Gonna go get some sleep now so peace out.
