We are each given the ability to choose, to make a hundred--or a thousand, or a million--choices every day.

Sometimes, we don't even realize that some of these choices exist.

For instance, we may never fully recognize that we have the choice of working in a charitable organization, donating time to worthy causes or small children, or speaking to others about our experiences on small or large scales. We may never realize that were given the opportunity to recognize each new morning or each new hour as a fresh realm of possibility and a chance to make the most of our lives. We may never realize all the many chances we have to reach out and touch someone else's life.

But it is these choices--both small and large--which will somehow, inevitably, change the world.

The world.

I am not just referring to your small sphere of experience. I am talking about how every decision you make, every action you commit or don't commit, shapes and generates the future. I'm talking about altering the foundations of humanity.

This is my challenge to you: change the world. Find some small corner where you can work, and slowly but surely...change things. You can call it the ripple effect, call it the butterfly effect, call it any effect you want--as long as you're effecting something.

Don't just "be." Get out there and do.
