Only the invisible threads never break

I've watched it get worn, and thinned, stretched out from being worn all day every day, washed endlessly in the shower, and lately, I've been watching with the expectancy that it's going to snap.

Pulling off my hoodie today, I snagged the threads, and suddenly - snap- and it's broken.  After 11 and a half weeks, or 81 days because I thought I should count it, the bracelet's come off.  The very last actual tie to Geneva.  One November night, which was X's birthday and dinner for the five of us, and night I decided to re-arrange my principles a little, we sat across the table in the restaurant, and Melie tied a sliver of thread around our wrists, one each, taken from the original spool that we'd made the friendship bracelet with.  I'm rather glad it lasted so long.

geneva, friends
