Of course...

Today was going great. I had one meeting, so I was able to get a lot of stuff done. I felt nice and accomplished, but of course not for long.

As I was walking out the door, I was stopped by my coworker who was reviewing my work (She's supposed to) and she points out something. I was thinking I may have had a typo or something, which is no biggie. It happens when you're typing a lot and if you're...well, me.

She pointed out that in the database, there were all sorts of weird goings on which could mean that the data I was given to input on this one particular thing may have been incorrect. This also means that there is a possibility that every fucking thing that I've posted that was given to me from the database could be incorrect as well. Which means that I quite possibly need to go back and check the database to look for numbers, which I don't really understand at this point, that may not be correct. Its tough because all of those numbers and what not look correct to me, but I'm not the expert on the info.

Funny I bring up the expert on the info...this particular person that is supposed to be the expert is the one that gave me the data to post. You would think that out of all people, I'd be able to trust that the expert is giving me the correct data. I thought wrong, and now I guess it means I have to check their work to make sure they're doing it correctly, so that they can give me the correct data, and then I can post it to the web. So in addition to my job, I have to do this.

As soon as my boss gets back from El Paso, we're going to have a chat. I'm going to look into this problem more though so that I have some facts and know what's going on. I mean...I'm willing to do what it takes to make sure the customer gets the correct data, but I shouldn't have to do someone else's job on top of mine. That's really fucked up.
