There were two girls that I've dreaded coming across on campus all semester: Sara Solomon and Maureen. Both were girls I had attempted hanging out with and possibly dating. Both had ignored my e-mails/calls. So I somewhat did not look forward to the awkwardness that would ensue by coming across them. Awkwardness that they'd feel that would be reflected on me... because overall I wouldn't care.
Well, Maureen just passed by the computer I'm at. She stopped and chatted. The subject of her never replying to my e-mail (which asked if she wanted to hang out over summer) never came up. It was amusing the way this small-talk happened out of a small sense of necessity...
Anyway, it went fine though. It was nice to get that encounter out of the way. And painlessly.
