So, like most of us, I receive spam. No matter how carefully we are about listing our information or checking for third party relations in mailing lists, something slips through. Thanks to google's keyword filters, most of it goes to my trash. However, one company has been bothering me over and over in a relentless daily stream of e-mails. That company is Canadian Health. I actually decided to check out their site and use their contact page to ask nicely for mailing list removal. Then I asked rudely. After no resolution, my guess was that the emails were either ignored, deleted, or the e-mail form goes no where.

I noticed at the bottom of the screen that they claim to be licensed by a "The College of Pharmacists of British Columbia"; a Canadian address is provided. I run it through Google Maps. To my surprise, this "College" exists. Just for curiosity, I run "Canadian Health" through a business search. Same address. After reading both business's description, it's pretty obvious that the companies are the same. To cover my bases, I found the contact info e-mails on the College's website, copy pasted them, and e-mailed. One went to a counsillor in Vancouver, as the site spells it. The other went to the general "about" e-mail. The second e-mail instantly bounced.

I'm not going to swallow this. I found Canada's BBB; lo and behold, Canadian Health is an actual registered business. Under the category of "mailing list removal" I filed a report of harassment. I just want the annoyances to stop. It might take 5-7 weeks to hear back from the BBB, so we shall wait.
