Mmmm Christmas and Fandoms
I was good for six months. Six months I stayed mostly outta fandoms. Ohhh don't get me wrong I still read stuff and went goobly goo at times, but for the most part I wasn't obessessing much given that real life took over, ate me, chewed me up, and spat me out as some sort of icky mush stuff.
I missed peoples online though, and the fandom itself its just what with going almost a week sometimes not even seeing my roommate and well... the semester ending with me sitting in on the couch with a bowl of noodles in my lap and the fork in them where I fell asleep in the middle of dinner... you get the idea.
However there is something to be said about dissapearing from a fandom for months (and there seemed to be just a lack of Aoko/Kaito fics in general) that can be good.
Like on Christmas coming across wonderful happy awesome fics on ff.net that you were not aware of. And hearing birds start to chirp out your window as you finish another one. I dunno what will happen when I watch the doctor who marathon but suddenly I want to write, and escape for a while.
Oh and reread Lupin, which means I really have to pick up a french text book somehwere >> ((I only own them in French and I do have two that I haven't read, but when I last picked them up I got through mabye five pages ^^;;;)
So yes... thus goes the tradition of Kaito/DC night out on Christmas ^_^ Four years ago today/yesterday I found the "fandom" and spent days working on epic ficcage of doom (do you guys know just how much and how LONG those epic stories are? And then when you get to the end of a like 500 page novel find out its not done and unsure that the website will ever get update again? It's a very unnerving feeling for a newbie.... and then of course I remember its three years since I've updated and think WHOOPS)
'nyway Christmas was good although mum's sick and still very sick and hopefully will be better (my traditional dayafter/daybefore/christmasy sickness must of rubbed off on her...)
