Vampires and Angels and Slayers and Forensic Anthropologists Oh My!
*snickers*
I always get converted late. Always. I dunno what I haven't gotten into BEFORE the fandom got big... well clothes. I do it with clothes. Tights, scarf shirts, peasant blouses- I have a tendency to like my "avant garde" stuff only by the next year or three its "chic" and I get bored of it-
But clothes don't count- cuz see... everything else I'm always three years late and a month too short.
That and I get in for the not reason.
Cuz I am SO eating up the Angel arch (....okay bad pun... it's nearly one....)
Actually I dunno whats gonna happen when he leaves... cuz see again with the I never really thought Angel was that good looking or what not, so it was another "doesn't really appeal to me" thing... but Booth has grown on me MASSIVELY and you're like YAY so therefore Angel has suddenly got REALLY good looking (not to mention its far more fun seeing him my ageish and not Boothageish ^^;;;;)
But as a result I can now buy into the romantic thing a little more without thinking "couldn't you pick a cuter vamp?" (which is what I seem to be doing a lot lately... I do hope if they ever try for an anita blake movie they pick someone as jean claude who actually looks more handsome... I dunno I always see vampires as more the Orlando Bloom/Whichever James is in Enchanted & 27 Dresses etc type than Brad Pitt or Matt Damon... only I think the rest of the industry feels that Alpha Male = Vampires and more softer looking guys are too... what?
See that's why in books I'm always the vampire person over a werewolf person... cuz werewolves always come off as tough guy alpha male sport built men- rugged and good looking right? Whereas Vampires are always the ones who you wouldn't think could hurt you until they sneak up and eat you.
Yeah yeah my vocab isn't very eloquent as one... especially watching Buffy...
Anyway I'm still having trouble switching btw the two fandoms. Mostly because I'm writing some Bones ficcage... which I still need to work more on.. and reading and watching and all... so its all David Boreanaz (sp?) = FBI though...
I was kinda amused...
By the whole episode where he was bumping in and all jealous like whilst Buffy was off with Owen person? Primarily because that's all that ever happens in Bones? And was cracking up cuz I'm like "Man... nobody likes to put you in a show where you don't have to go through the jealous faze of waiting for the chica to pick up on you like her..." course Buffy we cut to the chase pretty quick like...
I figure we'll get some B&B this season (too much build up about Bone's love life, and with the fact I think Sully's gonna make a suprise appearance this week I feel like that's where we're heading. I don't think full out relationship or they'red be no plot- but the writers are pretty awesome about taking sometimes cliche or almost ficlike chances with the plot and making them work to their fullest- so who knows? Mebbie will get a stuck with a one blanket in a blizzard for Christmas, or seeing Tempe actually drunk... or I can keep wishing XP... I have this little insationable love of cliches)
Point being-
Yes I like Buffy. See I told you I'd end up getting into it due to my roommate XP (I knew this like a year ago before I'd even heard of Bones or thought I might ever watch it or had any idea that Angel = Booth) And I knew I'd probably be entertained (Well Once More with Feeling proved that point)
'course only current problem I have is now I just wanna go through and watch all the Angel centric episodes first XP
You know... like Doctor Who... "what's the best episode!! yay for angst! Yay for awesome angst! Woooot!"
I really really fail with tv and episodic shows.
*chortles and goes back to procrastination*
( Edit : Note to self- don't try to read Bone's fics when listening to buffy music. It just really... REALLY doesn't work. Half way in someone will have a solo on something and you'll end up spluttering... terribly... because FBI agents complaining about coffee, kids, and squints should under no circumstances mix with vampires, slayers, and being brought from the dead... regardless if you've been off for a season and working as detective- which will probably be ALOT worse... actually thats probably why I haven't dared to d more than just search thru people's favvy fics...
I really reallly reallllly reallllly don't want to see the vampire!btvs!crossover!bones! fics that I know are out there....
Lets face it... far too tempting even when you know they'll be terrible and should not exist ^________^ )
