[Feb 04] [Magic Kaitou] Never Trust a Gem

Disclaimer: I also doubt Gosho would ever consider crossovers in his works... not that I actually crossed over- but I did consider it ^^;;
“Ooops…”
Kaito estimated thirty seconds between the time he had to run away from the slowly imploding jewel, jump off the building, find Aoko, and then said grab said girl and than do some ridiculously advanced magic he knew nothing about in an attempt to seek a duel deminsion in hopes the two of them might explode said implosion.
Personally he didn’t think they’d really make it.
Did he mention he also REALLY hated magic?
Okay so that was sort of a lie. He actually really liked magic tricks, and his father’s magic had ROCKED; however, he didn’t really like dealing with the real stuff. Too much drama. Too much cheating. Too much work. Not to mention the consequences were never good, and it would also give that bloody witch one more reason to chase after his tail.
He wasn’t even going to go into the whole thing concerning what happens when certain types of magic meet other types of magic and decide now is a great time to rid the world of millinias worth of evil by scattering thousands of little demons forth to shatter the world into thousands of little bits.
Right… that’s what he was doing… save the girl, save himself, get the hell out of there as FAST as possible.
Twenty seconds.
Crap.
He spotted her just in time. Inoncent little Aoko waving her happy little sign as she barely noticed that KID literrally leaped half ontop of her, grabbed the screaming shrieking woman, and than went forth to mumble some incoherent incantation.
He really wished she’d stop squirming, or the other hundred fan girls would back off.
Ten seconds.
Finally some of the silvery glowly light he was expecting circled them, good timing two since red light had started being immitted along with a type of odd shadow along the edges. People were starting to notice this was no ordinary KID trick, but than KID had never shown an ability to make the sky start to swirl and a type of fire storm emerge.
Oooohhh~ And there was Akako looking quite furious herself- well he’d leave saving the world to her and anyone else who decided they wanted to have it appear.
Personally he was outta there with the damsel in distress before the whole bloody thing dissolved.
Three… Two… One…
He heard the last of Aoko’s screams as all the lights went out at once.
Even Kaito wasn’t sure if they’d made it…
…On the other hand he was pretty sure he was still conscious. The fact that it was pitch black had nothing to do with the fact he was thinking… and that he was fairly certain there was something in his arms.
‘course he wasn’t quite sure this is where he’d wanted them to end up, but if they were still alive-
The place also felt oddly cramped.
Huh.
“OUCH.” Yelled the other thing as he moved an arm… apparently into the other things head.
Oh right… Aoko…
“Sorry-” he muttered.
“Kaito?”
“Yeah?”
“…. That’s it… I’m dreaming…” she sounded quite unenthused he noticed. Well yeah… he’d got them stuck in some cramp black hole probably for eternity due to a failure at magic… Of course seeing how they’re own world had dissolved just a few minutes before they should be thankful they were even alive.
He felt something hit him across his head and winced- of course if it meant being pent up in black box with Aoko for eternity he wasn’t certain if it was a fair trade.
“Oiy Aoko-”
“I dreamed KID grabbed me as it started raining fire, and now I’m trapped in a black nothingness with Kaito… wonder if I can pinch myself…”
“You’re not dreaming Aoko…”
“Then where’d KID go?” she said angrily. He could tell she was scowling without the light… great now he was really in for it.
Well better now than later, “Uhh… well see… funny story…”
“….Kaito…”
“….And see than there was this gem… and apparently it had a curse… and see it kinda was suppose to like fuel the world… and err I kinda destroyed it by accident and- well its sorta like a REALLY big Nuclear bomb… only travel size! You know what they say? Biggest surprises always come in small packages… And err I sorta had like thirty seconds to figure it out… and uhhh I didn’t think YOU wanted to dissolve so…”
“…..”
Several seconds of silence before the magician couldn’t take it any longer, “So you believe I’m a wizard?”
“….It was raining fire one minute, and now we’re stuck in a black hole- and I think I have bruises from where I’ve been pinching myself for the past five minutes. I think I don’t have much of a choice…”
“Thanks!” He was rewarded by another elbow to the head but he had to admit it still seemed quite rewarding. After all she believed him…
Of course… It was about five minutes later of silence that Kaito finally gave in, “Soooo… I have to say Aoko- I mean I’m sorry I got us stuck here. I’ll try to figure out a new location as soon as the rest of my power comes back. But uh- if I had to get stuck in purgatory with someone one, I’m glad its you!”
“…..Kaito?”
“Yes?”
“Will you please shut up and just figure out how your going to get us out of this before I kill you and me both?”
“Yessum…”
A/N: I blame too much clamp XD Or hitchhikers... or something. There is an omake but I'm not very happy with it ^^;;
Omake :
There was a crash from another room in the house and she heard a screech come from Watanuki in her storage room.
"Oh my... I forgot..." she muttered as she glided to the other room.
"Watanuki!!! Will you bring our customers into the living room and give them some tea! I think they've been in their long enough~"
She heard some grunts, yells, and a few curses.
Followed by a, "WHY DO YOU HAVE A WIZARD AND HIS GIRLFRIEND IN YOUR CLOSET!!!"
There were several more yells and at least one scream of "NOT GIRLFRIEND."
Yuuko sighed. Something told her it was going to be a very long night...
