I would first like to state that whatever woman decided plucking eyebrows was a good idea probably was murdered in her sleep by whatever poor handmaidens she made do it too... or women whose husbands wanted them too... and probably claimed reaction to torture when asked what was the cause of murder.
I also find it absurd how everyone goes on how you "have" to go to bed before 12 and how its detremental to ones health and how college students are known for the "bad habits" and how people can't understand why some stay up so late...
I would like to state that I don't even reach my computer until 11:30 at night usually- (as in I don't get home until at least 11/11:30 from rehersal) and thats pretty much the first thing I do when I come home... usually before food. So would some of those sleep books or healthy living things please come up with something to help those people who are not given the choice of going to sleep early?
I offical hate dieting... tho... its making me eat healthier I will say- and I'm learning to drink more tea- which will mean I will eventually enjoy coffee and tea.
'nother paradox as my theatre prof put it. Society complains about weight no matter how thin or overweight a person is... and for theatre majors it comes down to you have to be all "fit". If I had choosen another major I'd be fine... but I just had to go into the masochists career... 'Least I enjoy it... I think
For the record I'm not trying to complain... I'm just... amused? I find it intresting... because life is so silly on some things... we're expected certian things and we're suppose to live up to those.
I have also discovered that being a theatre major makes you start to be more... shallow 'bout ones self. Like hair, nails, body, make up, etc.... I mean you have to most of the time... if your director says "make your eyebrows thinner and trim" then you have to go home and do it... or if you want roles you have to look 'great' to say... but its depressing when you realize that you start thinking "oh right i need to see about those gels for my hair" inbetween classes... *sighs*
In other news:
Anyone know some good plays? Contemporary prefereably and no Shakespeare/T Williams please (I know most/near all of theirs thanks). It would also be nice if they had women in them... since I'm not the type that can get away with doing a male monologue or scene for an audition XP
