Mmmm and then I realize I kinda like this city... I mean really its not bad as far as Texas goes ^^
For one I've figured out things I "really" enjoy doing
1. Sewing (I'll sew for hours and love seeing outfits come out... I love designing and sewing and adding trim and putting it together and trying it on.... yeah I just love it)
2. Acting (I'm a theatre major... speaks for itself)
3. Lindy hop (not swing. Theres a difference... I like swing sure... its fun ya... but like they're teaching lindy at the ballroom lessons and I went... it was insanely crowded and most people had no idea what so ever but I stilll loved it. I loved being able to help and go... if you hold your hand down... if you pull me like this... give tips... I love just standing there and doing random steps to beat... honestly? I want to keep going back just to help... the other dances? I can't do that... regualr swing I can't... and usually I have a difficult time with amature dances but with lindy I ENJOY helping and whats better is most of the guys left feeling more confident after ddancing with me (a couple came up after asking again cuz they wanted to know for next week XD) but yeah... )
Its fun... ENJOYING doing something... really loving it... saying "lindy? sure! Sewing? Yeah!" I mean I've "liked" doing stuff... I'm sorta a jack of all trades anyway and I want to be... but usually i just like doing lotsa of random things... actually saying "I could do this" isnice...
On another note the people of Austin are fun ^^
Like how in a desperate attempt to find red thread I went into a sewing machine shop knowing it was completely not likely but mabye... mabye they'd have a small selective group- and the dude asked what color i needed... went and grabbed a spool and gave it to me XD no questions asked XD it was like waaaahhh?
And all the random people you walk down the road and talk to and see (like the guy with a pink razor phone who started singing "Tomorrow" queitly on the bus before chatting away to his friend ^^;; yes he appeared quite fabulous)
And the random people who chat with you in thrift shops
Or the guy that looked like a dark haired fabio on the bus... and was dressed kinda like one too in his leather jacket ^^;;
It's just kinda... nice... still a little lonely at times... but sometimes its nice... its why I love big cities *sighs* (and Austins not even that big >>)
