Summary Jay was on a vacation. A vacation he would never forget.
Author's note I've been on such a long hiatus. ;A; Naw, actually I can't be bothered to submit a fic. Anyhow, here is one.
One year into this career, Jay felt that he might have just found his passion in life. Music. Although he was still a trainee, only a trainee. Two years into this career, Jay had even more expectations of himself. He wanted to debut, he needed to debut. Three years into this career, Jay was excited, for his current manager said he would be debuting soon. Four years into this career, Jay debuted and won the hearts of young fans along the way. But it wasn't enough. He felt that he needed a breakthrough. Five years into this career, Jay rose to the top of the music scene, earning all sorts of outstanding awards along the way. Six years into this career, Jay was sick of it. He was tired, he felt as though he's having a mental breakdown. He wanted to quit.
"I need a break," Jay appealed to his manager. "I got whatever I dreamed for. Now I've earned a break." after several attempts of persuading, he was finally granted a year long vacation. But there was a condition, "When you're back, I want you to start anew, I want more music, better music." He doubted himself, but didn't care much. I've earned a break, he told himself.
He didn't want to be in the spotlight anymore. He wanted his old life back, where he was just a little musician, where no one has heard of him. "Bye guys, save a spot for me in the band next year." He said sarcastically before bidding goodbye. Destination -- America.
He ventured the streets of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Ohio, and even Beverly Hills. But it was in New York that he wanted to stay, where he met his special one.
She, too, was a Korean. Strictly speaking, she's a Korean that just was educated in America. Having that superficial knowledge of her own native language, she might not be considered one, would she? At age 22, she already ventured the entire America, knows exactly where are the places with the best food. Ron, Veronica. Their eyes met, Jay saw that magic in her, that he would never forget for the rest of his life.
Jay smiled, for he might just have found that inspiration in life that he was looking for.
