Senate rulings on "Don't Ask Don't Tell" and the "DREAM Act"

So here in the US the Senate has voted on 2 issues that have been in the news a lot lately. The first was on the repeal of the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy in the US military, which was that gay and lesbian soldiers couldn't be open about their sexuality. Well that rule is gone now. I say good. If you are willing to die for your country then who cares if you are a heterosexual or homosexual. Your blood is the same if you're killed.

The second vote was a "No" vote on the"DREAM Act", which was a bill that would grant citizenship to children of illegal immigrants that were brought to the US before they were 16 years old and would only apply to university students who would commit to serving in the US military for a minimum of 2 years. I'm very happy with this. This DREAM Act is a slap in the face to every immigrant that busted their ass to come here legally and an open invitation to people all over the world to grab their kids and sneak them into the US for a much easier way into citizenship then the average immigrant has to go through, not to mention an open declaration to the world that the US doesn't give a damn about their own laws so why should anyone.

And to Nevada Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who stated to the news "The Republican Party will pay for this in 2012 by losing Hispanic votes." You just pissed off a lot of Hispanics with this insinuation that the DREAM Act is for them. Just so you know my friend's Aunt and Uncle live in Carson City, they immigrated to the US LEGALLY from Mexico, they voted Democrat in the past, and have said they will vote Republican to get you and the Democratic Party out of office for what you said and trying to get this act passed. To quote his uncle "I didn't save and bust my ass for 12 years to get into this country and become a citizen for this country to spit in my face and let these cheaters and liars do it for free. Why can't they earn it like we did?!"
